Paladone WeCool has beefed up its sales and licensing team with the appointment of Karyn Colomonico as Sales Director USA

Paladone WeCool is the combination of two companies in the toy sector. Paladone is a global leader in licensed and non-licensed toys, games, gifts and branded merchandise, with showrooms and distribution worldwide.

Sister company WeCool Toys Inc. is a global designer and manufacturer of innovative toys, compounds, crafts and sensory products. WeCool offers full end-to-end capabilities spanning concept development through to worldwide distribution, and has launched thousands of products across more than 35 countries.

Together, the two companies combine creative innovation, manufacturing expertise and global retail reach to deliver market-leading products to consumers around the world.

Paladone WeCool says the hiring of Colomonico will support the company’s continued growth in North America.

“Karyn brings a wealth of key account experience and a deep understanding of the retail landscape,” said vice president of USA Sales Michael Nieves. “Her track record of building strong relationships with major customers, combined with her passion for licensed products, makes her a fantastic addition to our close-knit sales team.

““We’re delighted to welcome her and look forward to the contribution she’ll make as we continue to grow.”

Colomonico joins Paladone WeCool with more than 13 years of experience in the toy industry. She spent 10 years with the LEGO Group in a variety of sales roles, working closely with major retailers including Walmart and Amazon, as well as licensing partners. She later led the Walmart business for KidKraft before joining Elenco Electronics, home to the Snap Circuits and Teach Tech brands.

In her new role, Colomonico will focus on strengthening retail partnerships and expanding the reach of Paladone WeCool’s portfolio of officially licensed products.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Paladone WeCool at such an exciting time,” Colomonico said. “I was immediately drawn to the company’s high-quality, innovative product portfolio, strong licensing partnerships and collaborative culture. There’s a real passion across the business, along with an exciting vision for future growth and innovation.”

While Colomonico was hired for her broad expertise in the toy industry, her experience with LEGO is also a benefit, coming soon after Paladone WeCool signed a licensing deal with the Danish toy company.

“I’m especially excited about Paladone’s new LEGO license, given my background with the brand, but the breadth of the company’s licensing portfolio and ability to stay on trend makes this a truly exciting company to be part of,” Colomonico said.
