Good Bubble extends The Gruffalo partnership into new category

Children’s personal care brand, Good Bubble has extended its licence for The Gruffalo with Magic Light Pictures into a new category, introducing a children’s glasses care kit.

The kit – Europe’s first glasses cleaning kit made for children, according to the company – includes a 50ml Gruffalo Lens Cleaning Spray and a washable Gruffalo microfibres cloth printed with a woodland design.

It also marks Good Bubble’s first product outside bath and haircare, and demonstrates the Gruffalo brand’s strength across everyday children’s personal care routines.

Myopia (short-sightedness) in children has doubled since the 1960s. 28% of 6-11 year olds are projected to be myopic in 2026; 42% of 12-17 year olds. That’s a growing, captive audience of young glasses wearers, and their parents, actively seeking child-friendly products to support compliance and daily routine.

Good Bubble founder, Amy Lister, spotted the gap after her own son was prescribed glasses at four years old.

“When I searched for lens care products, I could only find generic, adult sprays,” she commented. “We wanted to find a way to encourage him to keep his glasses clean. Good Bubble’s mission is to bring joy to children’s cleaning rituals and the Gruffalo Glasses Care Kit enables children to take ownership over caring for their glasses and builds that healthy habit of cleaning their lenses, ultimately encouraging to wear them more.”

Jade Ferguson, senior licensing and retail manager at Magic Light Pictures, continued: “We’re delighted to expand our partnership with Good Bubble into a completely new category. They have a proven track record of understanding family routines, and bringing The Gruffalo into children’s eyecare is a brilliant, natural fit that offers genuine utility for parents and fun for kids.”

Good Bubble’s existing Gruffalo bath and body range is stocked at Boots, Sainsbury’s, Ocado and Amazon. The brand also holds licences for Room on the Broom, Stick Man, The Snail and the Whale, Zog and Peppa Pig.
