The Canadian singer Celine Dion is the latest music super star to be honored with a lookalike Barbie doll from Mattel.

The company’s Mattel Creations division has introduced the new doll, basing its appearance on Dion’s landmark appearance when she performed the hit song “My Heart Will Go On” at the 1998 Academy Awards.

Dion, who has sold more than 250 million albums worldwide, is in good company. Some of the other musicians who have been honored in Mattel’s Barbie Signature collection include global music icons like Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Stevie Nicks, Kylie Minogue, Gloria Estefan, Aaliyah, and Elton John.

A closeup of the Celine Dion doll shows the meticulous attention to the singer’s hairstyle on the night of the 1987 Oscars ceremony, and the necklace inspired by the Heart of the Ocean, the fictional blue diamond in “Titanic.”

The limited-edition Barbie Signature doll sells in the U.S. for $60, or $92 in Dion’s home country of Canada, and is available for pre-order exclusively through Mattel Creations.

The doll wears a pale blue, long-sleeved gown designed for Dion by Michael Kors and a necklace inspired by the Heart of the Ocean, the fictional blue diamond in “Titanic.” Dion performed the song, written for James Cameron’s film, at the ceremony.

“It is a true honor to join the Barbie legacy with a doll inspired by one of the most meaningful moments of my career,” Dion said.. “I hope this doll inspires everyone to express themselves with confidence, follow their dreams, and believe in the power of their own voice.”

The release comes during a return to live performing for the 58-year-old superstar. Dion began a sold-out residency at Paris’ Plenitude Arena on Sept. 12, her first full-length concert since 2020. The engagement runs through October, and more Paris performances are planned for spring 2027.

Dion revealed in 2022 that she has stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms. She canceled the remaining dates of her “Courage” world tour. Her health struggles were documented in the 2024 Prime Video film “I Am: Celine Dion.”

That year, she also performed Édith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’Amour” from the Eiffel Tower during the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, a highlight performance that led to her current Paris residency.
