H&A’s Nicola McQuillan on welcoming The World of Julia Donaldson to the portfolio, delivering innovation and new opportunities in the children’s personal care category.

LicensingSource.net catches up with a selection of licensees across key categories to find out their summer success stories, what they see as the highlights and challenges as we enter the ‘golden quarter’ of 2026 and their main goals for 2027.

Today: Nicola McQuillan, joint md, H&A.

“Summer 2026 has been incredibly exciting for us, with a strong pipeline of licensed launches aligned to some of the year’s biggest entertainment moments, including Toy Story 5, Minions, Spider-Man and Moana. We’ve also been delighted to welcome The World of Julia Donaldson to our portfolio, with a new product range launched alongside the publication of Gruffalo Granny in September.

As we head into the golden quarter, our focus is on helping our retail partners maximise these opportunities in what is always the industry’s busiest trading period. The challenge, as always, is continuing to deliver innovation that stands out in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Looking ahead to 2027, we’re excited to build on that momentum. Alongside growing our licensing partnerships, we’re investing in a major innovation that will create an entirely new opportunity within the children’s personal care category. We can’t reveal too much just yet, but it’s a project we’re incredibly passionate about and one we can’t wait to share with the industry.”
