Rainbow Designs’ Zara Grindrod discusses celebrating the company’s 55th anniversary, the arrival of new ranges through the summer and preparations for further growth in 2027.
LicensingSource.net catches up with a selection of licensees across key categories to find out their summer success stories, what they see as the highlights and challenges as we enter the ‘golden quarter’ of 2026 and their main goals for 2027.
Today: Zara Grindrod, brands, international and new business director, Rainbow Designs.
“Celebrating Rainbow’s 55th anniversary has been a fantastic milestone, and we have marked it with the launch of some wonderful new products and licensed ranges. One of the highlights has been the arrival of our Disney Winnie the Pooh 100 collection. We have also been delighted to welcome new licensed ranges including Care Bears Baby, Disney Dumbo and Pembe the Pink Cat, while continuing to expand many of our bestselling character collections with fresh new additions.
As we head into the all-important Q4, our dedicated team continues to focus on preparing and supporting our retailers. From eye-catching merchandising solutions and engaging in-store activations that create theatre and drive footfall, to responsive stock availability and flexible ordering, we are committed to helping retailers increase product visibility and maximise sales opportunities. With products for babies, preschoolers, gifting and the growing kidult market, all supported by targeted promotional activities, we have a portfolio that offers something for every age, stage and occasion, and we are well prepared for the busy festive season.
Looking ahead, preparations for 2027 are already well underway and there is plenty to be excited about. We have ambitious plans both in the UK and internationally, including the introduction of new licences, further expansion of our product portfolio, and continued growth of our international distribution networks.”
