The Legend of Zorro is a new animated series that revives a younger version of the wellknown favorite hero Zorro, and also introduces "Little Zorro" along with their friends. Zorro, the masked avenger, aids the oppressed and punishes the wicked, leaving behind his trademark 'Z' that he slashes with his sword as he rides off identified ... Zorro is in fact none other than the 18-year-old Don Diego de la Vega, scion of the local gentry.

Little Zorro, a cheerful 9 years old, is an orphan named Bernard who lives with Diego. After finding out that Diego is none other that his hero Zorro, Bernard in turn becomes "Little Zorro," his little helper. Lolita, Diego's pretty, sweet-tempered 17- year-old girl friend, wishes he weren't so easygoing, and more like Zorro, whom she worships. But for her own safety, Diego keeps his secret identity from her. Then we meet Sergeant Garçia, someone who enjoys food as his girth would suggest. He's harmless, but given to chitchat, including secret information about his wicked superiors. Figaro, Little Zorro's pet puppy, is always on hand for adventure, wearing his funny little mask. Viento, Zorro's noble white horse, is swift as the wind. Diego's dog, Tackle, seems like a pile of lazybones, but he's always ready to help Zorro in his adventures
