As in every part of the world, there are families with their
own problems. In Italy there lives the well-to-do “Spaghetti family,” a "normal"
family that is rather numerous, chaotic and loud. The mother is a typical “Italian
mum”; the father is a bit of a loafer, and the children are terribly messy;
they love music, dangerous sports and computers. These kids are always quarrelling
with their parents, and the only thing they all agree on is their "unconditional"
love for spaghetti, which they eat everyday, either at lunch or at dinner, enjoying
it aong with various sauces (“carbonara”, “aio e oio”, “puttanesca”, or “arrabbiata”).
Basically, this series aims to humorously depict the family’s life and relations
among its members, each time developing upon typical situations and mundane
problems most any family usually faces at one time or another. Such problems
will often seem very ordinary, but every viewer can identify with them quite
easily, because they’re things we have personally lived through as sons, parents
or mere bystanders, along with all the sorrow, anger as well as fun that goes
with them. So, this series wouldn't be described as especially dramatic or spectacular,
but rather one focusing on particular moments in our life where each character’s
personality is highlighted, underlining the contradictions and absurd conflicts
coming out in every family.
